All of Their Voices

when will I know that I made the right choices?
when will I know that I did the right thing?
so many memories and all of their voices
and none of them know how to sing

I know I was wrong so many times
I know that the path hasn’t been straight
so now I sit here and make up my rhymes
and anxiously try not to wait

perhaps write a replacement verse?

it can’t have been easy watching me fail
it must’ve been hard seeing me fall
but you pick me back up however I flail
and brush off the dust of it all

they say that the ending isn’t the goal here
they say that the journey’s the reason we go
while we gather the bits that will make us all whole here
and that’s everything we need to know

when will I know that I made the right choices?
when will I know that I did the right thing?
so many memories and all of their voices
and none of them know how to sing

Gravity Ceases

Dm C Bb A arpeggiated
When the very last sunset fades from the sky
When the last few stars flicker and die
When gravity ceases to hold you and I
I will still love you

When the things we believed have come true as they should
When all that we hope for and all that is good
Have done everything that we knew they would
I will still love you

When time has no meaning, no slow, no fast
When history circles and future is past
When the universe trembles and breathes its last
I will still love you
