Driving is one of my therapies. Though Best Beloved knows that every time I do run away, she’s coming along because that’s how it works.
We run away together a lot.
Needs a full band treatment to shine.
Lyrics
I’ve had four cups of coffee
breakfast, twice
I hear what you’re not saying
it’s good advice
nothing’s really wrong
it’s just me
you roll your eyes
you know how I can be
sometimes I have to run away
jump into the car
and drive all day
doesn’t matter where I go
and I know I’ll be okay
but sometimes I have to run away
things’ll be just fine
and then they’re not
head fills up with all the noise
of all the troubles I’ve bought
look up at the clouds
drifting in the blue
I hear all their quiet
and I know what to do
sometimes I have to run away
jump into the car
and drive all day
doesn’t matter where I go
and I know I’ll be okay
but sometimes I have to run away
rhythm of the wheels
sun on my face
radio up way too loud
in my own space
sometimes I have to run away
jump into the car
and drive all day
doesn’t matter where I go
and I know I’ll be okay
but sometimes I have to run away
